What is a digital kit from Everyone Can Paint?
A digital kit is right for you if you if you have all of your own painting gear and only need the files to get you going.
While the full kit includes the paints, paintbrushes, primed board and all the printed documents needed, the Digital Kits is the bare minimum.
You won’t get the paints, the brushes etc.
What will I get in a digital kit?
The kit comes to you as downloadable PDFs that you can then print at home as you need.
There will be –
Instruction Sheet – a brief rundown of things.
What You Need List – does what it says on the tin. A list of the paints you need, paintbrushes etc.
Mixing Mat – if you have access to a laminator this sheet can be printed off, laminated and then used as your paint palette.
The workbook – a step by step guide to painting your picture with images to show you the steps.
Tracing Sheet – this is a black line drawing of the picture you will be painting. If you want to use it, you use this to trace the picture from and then onto you board, paper, card, brick wall… You can also use it as a guide to free-hand sketch the image. It is up to yourself. Go wild! 🙂
Video Tutorial – you will receive a link to the video tutorial where you can follow along.
Do I Need to Print the Whole Kit?
No you do not, is the quick answer.
Longer answer-
You only need to print off the sheets you think you will need.
Even longer answer-
The Instruction Sheet, What You Need List and workbook can all be viewed from your device if you want to keep your printing low.
The Mixing Mat only needs to be printed if you are going to use it as a mixing mat, otherwise it too can be left out of the printing.
The Tracing Sheet, will need to be printed (your printer settings will need to be A4 fit to printable area to be the size I have painted them) if you are going to use it for tracing.
Do I Need to Print in Colour?
Again the short answer is no.
Longer answer-
If you are going to print the workbook, I think you would benefit from it being in colour. The workbook is full of step-by-step photos of your painting and can of course be kept for the next time you want to give the painting a go :).
The Mixing Mat does have a representation of the colour on it, so again, if you are going to use the mixing mat you may get more benefit from it being in colour.
At the end of the day though, what matters is that you are getting the use out of the documents that you need.
The majority of the documents can be viewed entirely as PDFs and not be printed at all.
Go with what works for you.
